GLOBAL ATTACKS TO THE ISLAMIC WORLD

In its geography where it should be sovereign, the Islamic world has become the site of the undeclared, secret, insidious, dirty and asymmetric World War III, in which the ethnic and sectarian units within the unitary structures of each Islamic country are fighting each other.

Despite the advantages they have, Islamic countries have fallen into a great turmoil with the interventions of the imperialist western states. As a result of this turmoil, great suffering and destruction are experienced in the Islamic countries. Millions of Muslims are forced to choose between leaving their homes or dying. Thousands of Muslims die in various ways on the migration routes, and those who manage to migrate are doomed to live in poverty and misery.

According to the official data of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, as of 2021, according to official records, 6.6 million Syrian citizens immigrated around the world. This figure is even higher with unregistered refugees. Syrian refugees migrated to Türkiye (3,388,698), Iraq (262,218), Jordan (660,605), Egypt (145,157), Lebanon (805,326) and other countries in North Africa (41,742). Apart from these figures, there are intense attempts to migrate to Europe and most of them lose their lives in the Mediterranean. Despite these adversities, the total number of registered refugees crossing into Europe from April 2011 to January 2021 was 1,022,142.

The World War III is being waged as an undeclared war (hybrid war) against Islamic countries. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the Muslims, who were left without a government, tried to continue their existence by establishing small states, but because they lost their unity and solidarity, they became an easy to swallow for global powers. The United States, European Union, England, France, Russia and China aim to establish authority in Islamic countries by waging proxy wars with the terrorist organizations they control and the asymmetric war methods they apply in order to seize the Islamic geography.

INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON SEEKING SOLUTIONS TO THE CRISES IN THE NEAR EAST ASIA AND SOUTHEAST ASIA REGIONS – 2026 (MALAYSIA)

CONGRESS SCOPE

The third ASRIKA Islamic Union Model “Crisis Regions International Congress Series” addresses “Seeking Solutions to Crises in the Islamic States Region of Near East Asia (YDABIF) and Southeast Asia (GDABIF)”. It focuses on political instability across South Asia and Southeast Asia, border- and identity-based disputes, the impact of great-power competition on the region, security issues concerning maritime jurisdiction areas and trade routes, ethnic and sectarian tensions, forced migration movements, humanitarian crises, vulnerabilities arising from regional economic dependencies, and the search for solutions to these problems.

The Near East and Southeast Asia regions are among the areas where international power balances intersect most intensely, owing to their location along global trade and energy routes, their strategic position with respect to maritime passages and straits, and their multi-ethnic and multi-religious social structures. In this context, the congress will address external interventions, political pressures, proxy wars, the regional repercussions of great-power competition, maritime security and trade routes, minority and identity-based issues, forced migration movements, humanitarian crises, and opportunities for regional cooperation in a comprehensive manner. In addition, the Rohingya issue, which has come to the fore in Southeast Asia, tensions stemming from the South China Sea, the security of the Strait of Malacca, economic dependency relationships, and risks of radicalisation are among the key discussion topics of the congress.

External interventions, embargoes, political pressures, and internal instability (Iran, Pakistan), which have recently come to the forefront in the regions of Near East Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Pakistan) and Southeast Asia (Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives) and directly affect Muslim societies; terrorism and security issues (Pakistan, Afghanistan); humanitarian crises and refugee movements (Afghanistan, Bangladesh); and developments such as economic inequalities, social protests, and climate-related disasters (Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives) are of great importance to assess in a holistic manner.

A total of 8 countries fall within the scope of the Near East Asia Regional Islamic States Federation (YDABIF) and the Southeast Asia Regional Islamic States Federation (GDABIF), two of the federations that make up ASSAM’s ASRIKA Model Confederation:

ASRIKA Model Near East Asia Regional Federation of Islamic States – YDABIF: comprises 4 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, and Pakistan.

ASRIKA Model Southeast Asia Regional Federation of Islamic States – GDABIF: comprises 4 countries: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Maldives.

Through this congress, the aim is to strengthen common understanding among Islamic countries regarding the crisis areas faced in the YDABIF and GDABIF regions, to develop institutional cooperation mechanisms, and to put forward solution proposals that will contribute to sustainable peace and stabilit.
